A water-based synthetic wax dispersion. Used for smooth surfaces where you need improved stain and water resistance. Water will bead from the surface and thus protect finishes from short contacts with water-based stains. It will also improve the depth of color for tinted plaster systems.

  1. Plaster/Stucco should be fully dry before application of SILICONATE IMPREGNATOR.
  2. Shake well before use.
  3. Protect all surrounding surfaces – not to be treated. SILICONATE IMPREGNATOR can damage glass, metal, ceramic and other surfaces upon contact.
  4. Apply small test patch to surface (ALLOW TO DRY FULLY) and observe results prior to protecting entire area.
  5. Liberally apply SILICONATE IMPREGNATOR using a cloth, paint pad, sponge, or roller. Take care to avoid splashing or drips. Apply from bottom of wall surface up so that drips run into already protected areas. Keep the surface saturated with extra material as required for no more than 5 minutes before buffing off excess with a dry rag.
  6. Full cure of SILICONATE IMPREGNATOR is achieved within 24 to 72 hours.
  7. Clean application tools with water.

  3. Apply thin coat of WAX PASTE using a cloth, sponge, spatula or trowel.
  4. Wipe away any excess wax with a clean cloth immediately following initial application.
  5. After 2 hours of drying the surface should be polished with a lint free cloth.

  2. Apply small test patch to surface and observe results prior to protecting the entire area.
  3. Stir Well: Before using acrylic sealer, make sure to stir it thoroughly. It's important to mix any settled particles for an even finish. However, do not shake the container.
  4. Use a high-quality, roller or synthetic bristle brush to apply a first coat of acrylic sealer. Avoid overbrushing, as this can lead to streaks or bubbles in the finish. The first coat can be diluted down with no more than 10% water.
  5. Drying and Sanding: Allow the first coat to dry for at least 2 hours. Afterward, use very fine sandpaper (220 grit) to lightly sand the surface. This step ensures an even finish and proper adhesion for additional coats. Wipe away any dust created during sanding.
  6. Second Coat: Apply a second coat (undiluted) of acrylic sealer.
  7. Drying Time: After the final coat, allow the finish to dry for at least 3 hours before any light handling. For normal use, wait 24 hours for the finish to fully cure.

Is it important to always do a small test patch first?

Yes, absolutely. Colcima products are evaluated for application for a multitude of different products and finishes. Results and performance will vary depending on product type, application methods, temperature, humidity, moisture content and substrate. It’s imperative that the products are always evaluated for the exact scenario in which they will be used prior to the entire project being undertaken.

Can the products be used past their shelf lives?

It is not recommended to use any products past their shelf lives. These are reactive systems and over a period of time they will begin to slowly react with themselves and thus reduce their performance characteristics. Colcima Coatings is a small batch blender in an effort to guarantee the freshest materials are always received.

Are Colcima Products available internationally?

At this time, Colcima Products are only offered for sale in the USA. International sales will open up in the future.

Can I collect products from the Colcima office?
